How to Embed your FaceBook Posts in Your Webpages

Embed your FaceBook Posts in your blog:

Today I discovered a nice feature in FaceBook that few people know about. Usually we post a story on our blog or website and then share it to social media sites like FaceBook. What about doing the opposite? Share your FaceBook posts in your blog posts.

This is how it looks like:

You can also embed your FaceBook posts in an ordinary website, it works the same. It is nice to see that the comments, Likes, Shares and any other media are also embedded with the post in the website.

This is what FaceBook says about this feature:

Embedded Posts are a way to put public posts – by a Page or a person on Facebook – into the content of your web site or web page.

The embedded post will show any media attached to it, as well as the number of likes, shares, and comments that the post has. Embedding posts will let people using your web site see the same rich information that is shown on, and they will enable people to follow or like content authors or Pages directly from the embed.

How to Embed your FaceBook Posts

The first thing you have to check is if your FaceBook posts are public as other settings like “Friends”won’t work. If you see the “Globe” icon, your post can be embedded.

You can change the setting from “Friends” to “Public” in hovering over the audience selector (the“Globe”).

Now, you have to hover over the little invisible arrow down located at the top right of the post. You have different options in the menu and it is from there you usually “Highlight” your FaceBook posts. The last entry is the one we want: “Embed Post”.

Click on this “Embed Post” link and this is what you get:

You see that the first section shows the code that you have to copy and paste into your webpage, and a preview. It works exactly the same as when you embed a video from Youtube in your site.

I hope you enjoy this post and let’s try to embed FaceBook posts in your site now!
