French Alps:
Today we are leaving Châtel-Guyon for a discovery week. We are first going to Lyon to visit an aunt and then to Viviers-Du-Lac for our first night. The whole trip is 1,000 kilometers, staying in a different hotel along the way each night.
While driving in the French Alps I recall a dramatic event taking place a while ago just on our way: The Al-Hilli murder in Chevaline, French Alps.
Al-Hilli murder: French police contaminated evidence
French police contaminated vital evidence from the Alpine beauty spot where four people including members of a British family were gunned down in cold blood, it has emerged.

French Alps
From little towns to villages we finally arrive in Chamonix – Mont Blanc.
This is what Wikipedia says:
The three towns and their communes which surround Mont Blanc are Courmayeur in Aosta Valley, Italy, and both Saint-Gervais-les-Bains and Chamonix in Haute-Savoie, France — the latter being the site of the first Winter Olympics. A cable car ascends and crosses the mountain range from Courmayeur to Chamonix, through the Col Du Geant. Begun in 1957 and completed in 1965, the 11.6 km (7¼ mi) Mont Blanc Tunnel runs beneath the mountain between these two countries and is one of the major trans-Alpine transport routes.
From Chamonix we will drive back in the French Alps to go to Annecy before going back home.
